Alicia Vennes
CEO, Owner
Alicia Vennes is a third-generation property manager and started her property management career in 2005 as a site manager of a small apartment complex in Portland, Oregon. She spent nearly a decade as an on site Property Manager before becoming Assistant Portfolio Manager for Cascade Management in Portland, Oregon. Shortly after, Alicia spent two years as a Single Family Portfolio Manager. In 2016 she became Portland’s First Single Family Portfolio Manager of the year. Prior to starting STARS, Alicia was Client Relations Manager for OneApp, an internet listing site for the housing industry. Alicia was nominated as one of Portland Business Journal’s Most Influential Women of 2019 and is a Certified Apartment Manager. She holds a Business & Leadership degree from Marylhurst University.

Joe Vennes
CFO, Owner
Joe Vennes has worked in conventional, student and affordable housing for over 28 years. Joe has extensive lease-up experience with over 1,200 units leased at affordable and student housing projects across the Pacific Northwest. In student housing, Joe worked with a private non-profit housing provider at Portland State University, Oregon State University, and Central Oregon Community College in roles that included portfolio management, design and construction consulting, and administrative management. Joe has honed his role in affordable housing since 2006, and has managed a diverse group of properties with a variety of funding types, such as LIHTC, HOME, and HUD. With his many years at REACH Community Development, Joe has developed deep relationships with local Portland housing and social service agencies including Home Forward, Human Solutions, TPI, Northwest Pilot Project and the Urban League of Portland and has proven invaluable to the communities he serves. Joe holds a certification as an Occupancy Specialist Designation, along with degrees in Management and Marketing from the University of Oregon.

Lisa Leija
Employee Engagement Manager
Lisa Leija started her time at Stars as our Jr. Business Development Associate, but quickly realized that she was better suited to lead our team. Lisa works daily with our Interim Employees to ensure that our clients’ needs are met and that properties have appropriate leasing coverage. Before her time at Stars, Lisa was a ballerina that performed at Disney twice, she is fluent in English and Spanish and speaks some French and aspires to be on the Executive Team of Stars Staffing Group.

Taylor Vincent
Executive Assistant
Taylor is the youngest employee of Stars Staffing Group. Taylor is an honor roll high school student that joins us in our corporate office after school each day. She will graduate in the Spring of 2021. When she isn’t helping in our office, she’s practicing with her choir. Taylor’s tenure as President of Washougal High’s Choir Club allowed her to try out and win a coveted spot on Washington’s All State Choir in 2019. Taylor aspires to be a Doctor of Psychology someday. She aims to find a University near Seattle and will help the Stars Team expand into the Seattle Market after graduation.
